Home / Career / SENIOR QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER (PLAYWRIGHT) SENIOR QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER (PLAYWRIGHT) Apply Now SENIOR QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER (PLAYWRIGHT) Apply Now COUNTRY Ukraine, Europe FORMAT Remote Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Playwright) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine and Europe. Our client offers digital tools such as interactive maps and automated link monetization, enabling creators, publishers, and event organizers to increase affiliate revenue without additional effort.  Position overview We are looking for a Senior Software QA Automation Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about automation and quality. This is an agency-level role, working across multiple teams and projects, driving automation initiatives and testing strategy. You will define and implement automation frameworks, improve test coverage, and ensure high-quality standards across APIs, user-facing applications, and services. We’re specifically looking for someone who can design overarching reporting frameworks and lead test strategy across teams. Key Requirements: Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python Hands-on experience with Playwright Experience with PostgreSQL Ability to architect reporting frameworks and drive test strategy at a high level REQUIREMENTS 5-8+ years of experience in QA Automation and Software Testing, with a proven track record of improving software quality through automation Strong expertise in developing automated tests using modern frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or TestCafe Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools Experience with TestRail or similar test management tools Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Golang for test automation Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and integrating automated tests into the development workflow Experience with cloud environments and distributed systems across multiple providers Hands-on experience with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including performance, security, and usability testing Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively English proficiency is required for daily communication with international colleagues. B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience Collaborative, great communicator RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain automated end-to-end, integration, and API tests to ensure high-quality software releases Establish and enforce test automation standards, tooling, and best practices to improve overall test coverage and product reliability Collaborate with Platform Engineers to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Work closely with multiple development squads, ensuring test automation supports both existing and new features/products Set up and manage a test case inventory to centralize and streamline testing efforts Define and enhance the bug handling process, including reporting, tracking, and continuous improvement of bug resolution cycles Provide test coverage reports and insights to help teams identify gaps and improve software quality Where automation is not feasible, conduct manual testing as part of the Definition of Done for release cycles Mentor developers and QA engineers in automation practices, advocating for a quality-first mindset WE OFFER US and EU projects based on advanced technologies.
