Support Worker - Young People (Aged 16-18)

£13 per hour
Shift: 8:00am - 10:00pm + sleep-in until 8:00am
We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to support young people aged 16-18 in a supported accommodation setting in Kettering.
This role is ideal for confident, resilient individuals with experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, self-harm, and trauma. You must be comfortable working long shifts, sleep-ins, and lone working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional, behavioural, and practical support
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviour appropriately
- Support young people with a history of self-harm and trauma
- Promote independence, structure, and daily routines
- Work one-to-one and independently during lone shifts
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Follow safeguarding procedures and care plans at all times
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year's experience supporting young people or young adults
- Experience with challenging behaviour, self-harm, and trauma
- Confident with lone working, long shifts, and sleep-ins
- Strong communication skills and professional boundaries
- Good understanding of safeguarding and risk management
Desirable:
- Experience in residential or supported accommodation
- Relevant Health & Social Care qualification
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
