<p><strong>Water Hygiene Technician</strong><br /><strong>Location:</strong> South Coast / M3-M4 Corridor (Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Reading)<br /><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full Time, Field Based</p>
<p>A well-established national provider of <strong>air hygiene and water treatment services</strong> is seeking an experienced <strong>Water Hygiene Technician</strong> to join their growing team. The company delivers specialist compliance services across sectors including healthcare, education, government, and high-security facilities.</p>
<p>This is a <strong>field-based role</strong> covering sites across the South Coast and along the M3/M4 corridor. The successful candidate will carry out a range of water hygiene and occasional air hygiene compliance tasks at client locations.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>TMV servicing and maintenance</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Down service disinfections (mains or tank fed)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Monthly water monitoring in line with <strong>ACoP L8 and HSG 274</strong> guidance</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water vessels</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Water sampling and logbook updates</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Water softener servicing and disinfection</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Occasional air hygiene tasks including <strong>fire damper testing</strong> and basic ventilation maintenance</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Minimum <strong>2 years’ experience in Water Hygiene</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Legionella Awareness qualification (essential)</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>City & Guilds in <strong>TMV Servicing (desirable)</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of current <strong>Legionella and water hygiene legislation</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Comfortable working <strong>at height and in confined spaces</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong organisational and communication skills</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ability to obtain <strong>Enhanced DBS clearance</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Full UK driving licence</strong></p>
