Lead Data Analyst - Financial Services

This role will act as the lead business-facing anchor within the&nbsp;Data Analytics capability for a market-leading Life Insurance intermediary. This role will report into the Chief of Strategy and Data Officer working closely with Executive and Senior Leadership team members to&nbsp;help shape how data is used across the organisation, moving from fragmented reporting toward a more structured, insight-led approach.<BR> &nbsp;<BR> You will play a key role in establishing best practice, improving consistency of reporting, and helping to define an enduring data competency. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both delivery capability and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.<BR> &nbsp;<BR> <STRONG>Key Responsibilities</STRONG><BR> <UL> <LI>Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and shape data-led solutions</LI> <LI>Lead the design and evolution of reporting standards across the business</LI> <LI>Drive consistency across MI, reducing duplication and improving data accuracy</LI> <LI>Translate complex data into clear, actionable insight for commercial decision-making</LI> <LI>Produce insights demonstrating the value of investment into data to present to board members</LI> <LI>Manage Senior Data Analysts and Functional Analysts, providing day-to-day support</LI> <LI>Support the development of a Data Competency Centre and service catalogue</LI> <LI>Challenge existing approaches and help move the business beyond reactive reporting</LI> </UL> <STRONG>Skills &amp; Experience Profile</STRONG><BR> <UL> <LI>Strong experience in a Senior / Lead Data Analyst role</LI> <LI>Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive business outcomes through data</LI> <LI>Experience working in commercially driven, data-led environments</LI> <LI>Advanced Power BI capability including data modelling and dashboard design (end to end)</LI> <LI>Strong SQL and experience working with modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks or similar)</LI> <LI>Understanding of data architecture and translating data into business insight</LI> <LI>Excellent communication skills with the ability to "tell the story" of data</LI> <LI>Comfortable operating in a developing / evolving data environment</LI> </UL> <STRONG>Additional Information</STRONG><BR> <UL> <LI>Salary&nbsp;&pound;80,000 - &pound;90,000 (based on experience) + bonus + benefits package&nbsp;</LI> <LI>Location: Hybrid working with onsite travel to&nbsp;the office in Basingstoke.</LI> <LI>Candidates must have the right to work and&nbsp;reside&nbsp;in the UK.&nbsp;</LI> </UL>
