CNC Operator

Abatec are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator to join our client’s growing team in the Clevedon area. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, with overtime available.

Ideal candidates will come from a hands-on, “on-the-tools” background, including experience as a mechanical fitter, maintenance technician, fabricator, CNC operator, or similar practical engineering roles.

About the Role

You will be responsible for operating CNC machinery within a busy manufacturing environment, working with a variety of materials and ensuring all components are produced accurately to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating CNC machinery to produce components to specification
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Setting up and adjusting machines as required
• Carrying out quality checks on finished products
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working to production targets and deadlines

Requirements

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• CNC machine experience (preferred)
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong understanding of health & safety
• Reliable, hands-on, and able to work as part of a team
