About the Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the Internet of Things, contributing to trusted data security for leading global companies? Join our international R&D organization within the Secure Connected Edge business unit as a Test Engineer (m/f/d) in the Trust Provisioning (TP) department. You will work on cutting‑edge software and system solutions enabling advanced security features for microchips and platforms used in IoT, automotive, and secure identification applications. Working closely with global teams across Hamburg, Brno, and Graz, and tightly integrated with NXP’s worldwide production centers, you will play a key role in ensuring our software solutions meet the highest quality, security, and production‑readiness standards. Responsibilities Define test strategy, plans, and risk-based scopes aligned with requirements and release cycles Design and execute manual and automated backend tests (functional, integration, system and regression), partially within a Kubernetes‑based containerized environment Manage defects end‑to‑end, including root‑cause analysis and validation of fixes in close collaboration with development teams Perform non‑functional testing (performance, reliability, basic security and proactively assess quality and delivery risks Integrate and maintain automated tests within Jenkins‑based CI/CD pipelines Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve testability, quality, and processes Manage, configure and maintain test environments used across multiple development teams Hard Skills Strong foundation in software testing principles, including test design techniques, regression testing strategies, risk‑based testing, and defect lifecycle management Hands‑on experience in both manual testing and test automation Proficient in C# with solid experience using NUnit, scripting skills in Python, Batch and PowerShell Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as NATS, NATS JetStream, and Kafka is an advantage Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tooling, including Jenkins (must‑have), Git, Bitbucket, and Maven, ideally within containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker) Experience in embedded software development and familiarity with FPGA‑based systems is a plus Soft Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with clear defect reporting and test documentation Experience working in agile, distributed cross‑functional teams is an advantage Fluent written and spoken English communication skills Required Degree Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable practical experience “What can you expect? 📝 Contract Type This role is offered as a full‑time position with a permanent contract, providing long‑term stability and room for growth. 📚 Development Opportunities We believe that growing our people is key to growing our business.
