<p><strong>Senior Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Small Animal Practice – East London, UK</strong></p>
<p>An independent, well-equipped small animal practice in East London is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing team and play a key role in the ongoing development of the practice across two modern sites.</p>
<p>This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician looking for clinical autonomy, leadership responsibility, and a strong work-life balance within an independent setting.</p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>This is a full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility considered. The rota is designed to support a healthy work-life balance:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>No out-of-hours, on-call, night shifts, or Sundays</p>
<li>
<p>Rolling Saturday rota</p>
<li>
<p>8-hour or 10-hour shifts available</p>
</ul>
<p>Key responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Delivering a high standard of medical and surgical care</p>
<li>
<p>Providing clinical leadership and guidance to less experienced vets</p>
<li>
<p>Supporting and mentoring the wider veterinary team</p>
<li>
<p>Contributing to clinical standards and practice development</p>
<li>
<p>Working across two East London sites as part of one integrated team</p>

<p><strong>The Practice</strong></p>
<p>The practice is proudly independent and places a strong emphasis on clinical standards, collaboration, and efficiency. Facilities and equipment include:</p>

<p>Separate consultation rooms</p>
<li>
<p>Dedicated cat and dog wards</p>
<li>
<p>Modern theatre and preparation areas</p>
<li>
<p>Digital X-ray and dental X-ray</p>
<li>
<p>Ultrasound</p>
<li>
<p>In-house blood and urine analysers</p>
<li>
<p>Multi-parameter monitoring</p>
<li>
<p>Laser therapy</p>
<li>
<p>Visiting orthopaedic and cardiology specialists</p>
</ul>
<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>The ideal candidate will be:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon</p>
<li>
<p>Minimum of 3–5 years’ UK small animal experience</p>
<li>
<p>Confident with a wide range of routine and more complex medical and surgical cases</p>
<li>
<p>Comfortable taking clinical responsibility and mentoring colleagues</p>
<li>
<p>Proactive, organised, and keen to contribute to practice growth</p>
</ul>
<p><strong>Salary and Benefits</strong></p>

<p><strong>Salary:</strong> £65,000 – £75,000 DOE</p>
