<h3>Role Overview</h3>
<p>We are looking for a meticulous <strong>Assistant Project Manager</strong> to assist in overseeing underground wet utility construction projects. Collaborating closely with Senior Project Managers and field teams, this role ensures projects are carried out safely, on time, and within budget.</p>
<p>This role is perfect for a Project Engineer or early-career PM seeking to enhance their skills in project coordination, cost management, and subcontractor supervision.</p>

<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Support Project Managers in managing underground wet utility projects from preconstruction to closeout</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Supervise and mentor Project Engineers in daily project tasks</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold schedule and workflow</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Aid in project buyout, subcontract execution, and material procurement</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Review plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings for adherence</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Monitor RFIs, submittals, change events, and project records</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist in schedule updates, cost monitoring, and budget projection</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist in preparing change orders and evaluating potential cost impacts</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Participate in value engineering initiatives when appropriate</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Cultivate professional relationships with owners, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors</p>
</li>
</ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>3–4 years of construction experience, specifically in <strong>underground wet utilities</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or relevant discipline</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proficient in water, sewer, and storm drain construction practices</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Capable of interpreting construction drawings and specifications</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of California Public Works projects is a plus</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong organizational, communication, and time management abilities</p>
</li>
