About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Rochdale. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and various agencies to improve the lives of children with disabilities. Your expertise will be essential in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services tailored to the unique needs of each child and their family.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and reviews of children with disabilities and their families.
Developing and implementing individual care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of best practice within the team.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
Registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience in children’s social work, particularly with children with disabilities.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
