Job Description

• Automotive Composite Fitter (Trim & Prep) - Supercar Programme

Key Responsibilities:

Composite Trimming & Finishing

• Perform hand trimming of composite components using air tools and hand tools (e.g. Dremel, die grinders, routers)
• Trim parts to precise tolerances in line with engineering drawings and trim fixtures
• Ensure accurate edge finishes and dimensional conformity
• Work on complex geometries and high-value components (e.g. body panels, aerodynamic surfaces)

Preparation for Paint (Prime & Paint Readiness)

• Prepare composite surfaces for paint, including:
• Sanding and surface finishing
• Filling minor imperfections (pinholes, surface defects)
• Surface cleaning and degreasing
• Ensure components meet Class A surface requirements prior to paint
• Work closely with paint shop teams to ensure seamless handover

Assembly & Fitment

• Trial fit and align components where required
• Carry out minor adjustments to ensure correct fit and gap/flush targets
• Support build teams with component fitment readiness
