SEMH Behaviour Coach - Huddersfield

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a motivated SEMH Behaviour Coach to join a supportive school in the Huddersfield area on a long-term basis.

This full-time role is due to commence ASAP, with shortlisting currently underway. The school provides a structured and supportive environment, with a strong focus on helping pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs develop positive behaviours and successfully re‑engage with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a one‑to‑one or small‑group basis across the school day
• Implementing behaviour support strategies and coaching pupils in emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and SEND staff to provide consistent and targeted support

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant experience working in an SEMH, behaviour support, or pastoral role
• Experience supporting children or young people with emotional or behavioural needs
• A strong understanding of behaviour management and de‑escalation techniques
• Two education or school‑based references
