<h2>Mobile Maintenance Engineer (M&amp;E)</h2><p>📍 South Wales &amp; South West (Field-Based)<br>🕒 Full-Time | Monday – Friday<br>📞 On-Call: 1 in 6 rota | £200 standby + 4-hour minimum call-out</p><hr><h3>Join a high-performing engineering team where standards matter.</h3><p>We’re looking for a skilled and proactive <strong>Mobile Maintenance Engineer</strong> to support the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of client sites.</p><p>This is a field-based role, covering multiple locations across <strong>South Wales and the South West</strong>, so travel is a core part of the position. You’ll play a key role in ensuring building services systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and in full compliance—while delivering a professional, customer-focused service.</p><p>If you enjoy fault-finding, problem-solving, and working independently while still being part of a strong team, this is a great opportunity.</p><hr><h3>The Role</h3><p>You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring client assets remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.</p><p>Day to day, this includes:</p><ul><li><p>Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works</p></li><li><p>Fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems</p></li><li><p>Maintaining HVAC plant to ensure optimal environmental conditions</p></li><li><p>Responding to BMS alarms and carrying out first-line diagnostics</p></li><li><p>Supporting plant operations including start-up, shutdown, and changeover</p></li><li><p>Completing simPRO tasks with accurate records and photographic evidence</p></li><li><p>Maintaining logbooks and compliance documentation</p></li><li><p>Supporting statutory maintenance and highlighting risks or issues</p></li><li><p>Carrying out small installation and repair works as required</p></li><li><p>Conducting regular site walk-rounds to ensure safety and performance</p></li><li><p>Supervising subcontractors and reviewing works on site</p></li><li><p>Ensuring all plant rooms and work areas are safe, clean, and compliant</p></li><li><p>Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors, and internal teams</p></li></ul><p>You’ll also take ownership of your workload, managing your time effectively across multiple sites.</p><hr><h3>On-Call &amp; Overtime</h3><ul><li><p>On-call rota: <strong>1 in 6</strong></p></li><li><p>Standby allowance: <strong>£200 per week</strong></p></li><li><p>Minimum <strong>4-hour call-out payment</strong></p></li><li><p>Overtime available depending on business needs</p></li></ul><hr><h3>What We’re Looking For</h3><p>We’re looking for a well-rounded engineer who is confident working across building services and can operate independently in a mobile role.</p><p>You’ll ideally have:</p><ul><li><p>Experience within Facilities Management or Building Services</p></li><li><p>Strong PPM and reactive maintenance background</p></li><li><p>Confidence fault-finding across M&amp;E systems</p></li><li><p>A proactive, safety-first approach</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and customer service skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage workload across multiple sites</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Qualifications &amp; Technical Skills</h3><p><strong>Essential:</strong></p><ul><li><p>City &amp; Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering</p></li><li><p>City &amp; Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering</p></li><li><p>18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations</p></li></ul><p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p><ul><li><p>City &amp; Guilds 2391 Inspection &amp; Testing</p></li><li><p>IOSH Working Safely</p></li><li><p>IPAF / PASMA</p></li><li><p>Unvented hot water systems</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of BMS, HVAC, generators, and building controls</p></li><li><p>ACOP L8 / water systems knowledge</p></li><li><p>High Voltage experience</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Experience</h3><p>Experience working on a range of plant and equipment, including:</p><ul><li><p>Boiler plant and ventilation systems</p></li><li><p>Pumps and pressurisation systems</p></li><li><p>Generators and switchgear</p></li><li><p>Cables, batteries, lighting and small power</p></li></ul><hr><h3>Why Join Pareto FM?</h3><ul><li><p>Varied mobile role with real autonomy</p></li><li><p>Supportive management and engineering structure</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to work across diverse sites and systems</p></li><li><p>Ongoing training and development opportunities</p></li><li><p>Clear progression routes as the business continues to grow</p></li></ul><hr><p>If you’re a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a mobile role where you can take ownership, develop your skills, and be part of a growing FM business — we’d love to hear from you.</p>
