Senior / Principal Transport Planner - Woking / London


A well-established and growing transport planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join its expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport planner to take a leading role in delivering development-led projects, while contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the business.

The Role


You will be responsible for managing and delivering a range of transport planning projects, providing high-quality, commercially aware advice to clients across the development sector.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing projects from inception through to completion

  • Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Statements and feasibility studies

  • Undertaking and interpreting transport modelling and analysis (e.g. TRICS, TEMPro, junction modelling)

  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and stakeholders

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members

  • Contributing to project financial management and fee proposals

  • Supporting business development and client relationship growth

What We're Looking For
  • Around 5+ years' experience within transport planning (ideally development-led)

  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • Experience producing high-quality technical reports

  • Familiarity with tools such as:

    • TRICS / TEMPro

    • LinSig / TRANSYT (or similar)

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery

  • Membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards)

Location


The role is ideally based in Woking, though candidates based in London or nearby locations will also be considered depending on experience.
