Senior Software Test Engineer (GMD Weapon System)
Full-Time with an Employee Owned and Best Places to Work Certified Contractor
Onsite in Huntsville, AL | Schedule: 9x80
Software Test Engineer to support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) on the Ground Support Systems (GSS) IPT. You will be responsible for scheduling the tests for execution as well as monitoring, measuring, controlling, and reporting on the test progress, the product quality status, and the test results. Candidates must have the ability to adapt the test plan and compensate as needed to adjust for evolving conditions.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate test execution events across engineering and product teams
Monitor and control test activities, reporting on progress, product quality, and test results
Interpret and validate system requirements and test guidance
Develop and adapt test plans and integration procedures to meet evolving technical conditions
Define testing criteria to ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements
Utilize automated testing tools, scripting, and version control systems to support integration workflows
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Active Secret Clearance required
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution and 5+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience
Experience developing and executing system integration and test plans
Proficiency in C++ and scripting languages such as Python
Hands-on experience with Eggplant or other GUI-based automated testing tools
Familiarity with version control systems including GitLab or Bitbucket
Ability to modify test approaches to respond to real-time changes in system behavior or schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Missile Defense programs
CompTIA Security+ certification
Java experience/understanding
Experience using Cameo for Model Based Systems Engineering
Active Top Secret clearance
