Senior Accounts Assistant

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly reputable manufacturing business based in Sheffield as they look to appoint a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of their work. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing purchase and sales ledger activities Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring Supporting payroll processes VAT returns and statutory reporting support Supervising junior team members where required Assisting with year-end procedures and audit preparation The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a similar finance role Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills Confident using accounting systems and Excel Proactive, reliable and able to work independently What’s on Offer: Competitive salary up to £32,000 (DOE) Generous holiday allowance Company pension scheme A supportive and collaborative working environment Genuine opportunity to progress within a stable and growing business This role would suit a dedicated and hands-on individual who is looking to join a business where they can add value and develop their career long-term.
