Live-in Travelling French-Speaking Maternity Nanny in London

On behalf of our private client, we are seeking an exceptional Live-in Maternity Nanny to welcome a newborn baby into the world and provide dedicated, nurturing care from the very start. This is a travelling role spanning three locations: London (Chigwell), Antigua, and Rome. The family are looking for someone truly special: calm, warm, discreet, and deeply passionate about early childhood.

This is a shared care role alongside a very involved mother, and the family are hoping to find someone who will grow with their child and become a long-term, trusted figure in their family life. Fluency in both English and French is essential. A confident driver and pet-friendly candidate is required, as the family have dogs. The successful candidate will be comfortable working as part of a wider household team.

Working hours / schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
• Flexibility required when travelling

Duties include:

• Providing full, attentive newborn and maternity care from day one
• All aspects of infant care including feeding, winding, bathing, and nappy changes
• Establishing and maintaining gentle, age-appropriate routines for sleeping and feeding
• Supporting the mother with shared care in a warm and collaborative manner
• Stimulating healthy early development through interaction, play, and nurturing engagement
• Travelling with the family to Antigua and Rome as required
• Working respectfully and professionally alongside other household staff
• Keeping parents well informed and communicating openly about the baby's progress
• Carrying out any additional childcare duties as reasonably requested by the family

The ideal candidate will be:

• Calm, nurturing, and instinctively confident with newborns
• Fluent in both English and French
• A confident and licensed driver
• Comfortable around dogs and happy in a pet-friendly home
• First Aid trained (essential)
• Knowledgeable in early childhood development
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional at all times
• Flexible, adaptable, and genuinely happy to travel
• Able to work collaboratively alongside household staff and the mother

Salary: from £70k gross per year depending on experience and qualifications 

Start date: End of July 2026 

Accommodation: Provided throughout
