Part-Time Outreach Support & School Transport Worker 📍 Greater Manchester Area 🕒 Part-Time Temporary Position 📅 Contract: June – July 2026 We are currently looking for a reliable, caring, and child-focused Part-Time Outreach Support & Transport Worker to support two school-aged siblings currently living in foster care. This role involves providing safe and consistent transport between home, school, and contact services while helping maintain routine, emotional wellbeing, and educational stability. Key Responsibilities Morning school transport from foster placement to school Afternoon collection from school and transport to either: foster placement, or local contact centre Supporting children in a calm, patient, and professional manner Maintaining clear communication with carers and professionals Providing a consistent and reliable presence for the children About the Children The children are polite, engaging, and settled in foster care. They benefit from positive routines, emotional reassurance, and consistency. One child has a medical condition requiring occasional flexibility and understanding. Ideal Candidate ✔ Experience working with children or vulnerable young people ✔ Calm, patient, and nurturing approach ✔ Reliable and punctual ✔ Good communication skills ✔ Driving licence and suitable vehicle preferred ✔ Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality Working Hours Monday – Friday Morning collection around 7:30am and transport to school Afternoon collection around 3:30pm and transport to placement/contact centre ⏰ Approximate part-time split-shift hours suitable for someone seeking flexible work.
