Praxissemester oder Abschlussarbeit (m/w/d): Entwicklung und Bewertung KI-gestützter Verfahren zur Verschleißerkennung von Werkzeugschneiden

Im Rahmen eines Forschungs- und Digitalisierungsprojekts bieten wir Studierenden die Möglichkeit, ein Praxissemester oder eine Abschlussarbeit im Bereich Fertigungstechnik, Bildverarbeitung und künstliche Intelligenz zu absolvieren. Ziel ist die Entwicklung und Bewertung innovativer Ansätze zur automatisierten Verschleißerkennung von Werkzeugschneiden. Aufgabenstellung 1. Digitalisierung des manuellen Bewertungsprozesses Analyse und Strukturierung des bestehenden händischen Bewertungsprozesses Entwicklung eines digitalen Dokumentationskonzepts auf Basis eines Fotomikroskops und eines standardisierten Bewertungsschemas Auswahl geeigneter Kameratechnik sowie Konzeption der technischen Integration in bestehende IT-Systeme Betrachtung des gesamten Werkzeugschnittstellenprozesses, einschließlich der Einbindung in die Werkzeugvoreinstellung sowie des Rücklaufs aus der Maschine 2. Recherche, Analyse und Bewertung bestehender KI-Lösungen Systematische Recherche nationaler und internationaler Forschungsaktivitäten zur KI-basierten Verschleißerkennung Identifikation und Analyse potenzieller Softwareanbieter für KI-gestützte Bildauswertung Vergleich und Bewertung der identifizierten Systeme hinsichtlich Funktionalität, Anforderungen und Praxistauglichkeit Durchführung erster Funktions- bzw. Prototypentests mit ausgewählten Werkzeugen (abhängig vom Umfang des Einsatzes) 3. Wirtschaftlichkeitsanalyse Entwicklung eines Bewertungsmodells zur wirtschaftlichen Betrachtung der potenziellen Implementierung Abschätzung von Nutzen, Aufwand und Serientauglichkeit Erarbeitung einer fundierten Handlungsempfehlung Ihr Profil Studium eines ingenieurwissenschaftlichen oder technischen Studiengangs (z. B.
