About the Role
Chartered Valuation Surveyor
The Opportunity
An established independent commercial property consultancy is looking to strengthen its Plymouth office following continued demand for its valuation services across the South West.
With a well-established presence throughout Devon and Cornwall, the practice has developed a loyal client base by combining technical expertise with a personal, relationship-focused service. A healthy pipeline of instructions now creates an opportunity for an experienced Chartered Valuation Surveyor to become part of its professional team.
This is a chance to join a respected regional practice offering varied instructions, established clients and greater autonomy without the structure of a large corporate consultancy.
The Role
As a Chartered Valuation Surveyor, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of RICS Red Book-compliant valuation instructions, predominantly across Devon, alongside work throughout Cornwall and occasional assignments in Somerset and Dorset.
Your valuation work will cover:
Commercial property
Residential assets
Development land
Instructions will include valuations for:
Loan security purposes
Pension funds
Private clients
Statutory requirements
You’ll take responsibility for your own workload, deal directly with clients and produce high-quality valuation reports while benefiting from the support and resources of an experienced regional team.
About You
We’re looking for an established valuation professional who can confidently manage instructions from initial client contact through to inspection, analysis and final reporting.

RICS Registered Valuer accreditation
At least 3 years’ post-qualified valuation experience
Strong experience producing RICS Red Book-compliant reports
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
The ability to manage your own workload effectively
A full UK driving licence
What’s In It For You?
Competitive salary plus commission
An established regional client base
A varied portfolio of valuation instructions

A supportive and experienced professional team
Genuine work-life balance
The opportunity to help develop and grow the valuation service
Long-term career stability with a respected independent consultancy
