A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Basingstoke,
Hampshire is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Senior to support the ongoing
growth of its private client team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a
highly regarded independent practice with a strong reputation for delivering
high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services.
The firm advises a diverse private client portfolio,
including HNWI’s, OMB’s, company directors, entrepreneurs, and UK and non-UK
domiciled individuals. You will join a friendly, technically capable team in a
collaborative and supportive environment, where long term client relationships
and tailored tax advice are central to the firm’s approach.
Key Responsibilities
As a Personal Tax Senior, you will manage your own portfolio of private clients and provide a blend of compliance and advisory services, including:

- Managing
all aspects of personal tax compliance for individuals, directors,
partnerships and non-resident clients
- Providing
tailored tax advice across areas such as CGT, IHT, residence and domicile,
trusts and share schemes
- Assisting
with ad-hoc and project based advisory work
- Supporting
business development activities and maintaining strong client
relationships
- Supervising
and mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development
- ATT
qualified and/or ACA/ACCA qualified. CTA qualification or studies
advantageous
- Strong
personal tax experience gained within a practice environment (Top 50,
mid-tier or independent firm)
- Good
technical knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory matters
- Ability
to manage a client portfolio independently while supporting wider advisory
work
- Genuine
interest in private client tax and long-term career development in this
area
- Salary of £38,000 - £48,000, depending on experience and qualifications
- 25
days’ holiday plus bank holidays
- Study
support for CTA, ACA or ACCA where applicable
