Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our operational processes, quality assurance protocols, and workflows. This role is central to ensuring the business runs efficiently, productively, and to a consistently high standard. You’ll combine strategic oversight with a hands‑on approach, working closely with teams and stakeholders to drive operational excellence. This is a Monday – Friday role with a salary of up to £50,000 depending on background and experience and due to the nature of the role you will be required to be on site at Wiveliscombe. You’ll be willing to “do the doing” when needed, while also enabling results through your team and wider resources. Key Responsibilities •            Develop, implement, and maintain operational processes and workflows that support efficient day‑to‑day running of the business •            Lead on quality assurance protocols, ensuring compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement •            Oversee warehousing, procurement, and supply chain activities to ensure smooth operational delivery •            Analyse operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions •            Collaborate with internal teams to support planning, resource allocation, and execution of operational priorities •            Balance strategic leadership with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and get involved in the doing when required Essential Skills & Experience •            Proven experience managing operations within a manufacturing, field service, or construction environment •            Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build effective relationships •            Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams •            Strong analytical capability, with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making •            High level of IT literacy and confidence using digital tools and systems •            Demonstrable experience managing warehousing operations •            Proven experience overseeing procurement within a manufacturing or construction setting •            Strong planning and execution skills, with a track record of delivering results Desirable Skills & Qualifications •            Recognised project or operations qualification (e.g., Prince2, Agile, Lean) •            Knowledge of quality frameworks such as ISO 9001 •            Experience embedding continuous improvement methodologies If this sounds like something of interest, please apply today.
