Job Posting Title: Online Programs Coordinator Position Type: Professional / Unclassified Department: LSUA ASA - HHS - Education (Arlene Andrepont Duos (00002657)) Work Location: LSU - Alexandria Pay Grade: Professional Job Description: Purpose: Program support for the online Elementary Education program (BSOELE) and other developing online education programs. Organize, coordinate, promote, and execute all areas related to the online programs. Responsibilities: · Manages advising and acts as initial point of contact for students and potential students in the BSOELE program. · Assists with education faculty and residency directors with mentorship placement and site coordination across the state. · Assists in the maintenance of student records while collaborating with program leadership, professional advisors, and/or district level administrators across the state. · Promote and recruit for the online programs across the state. · Maintains contact with advising center and updates faculty as needed. · Monitors and assists with accreditation needs for additional reports as well as reports for CAEP, ETIO, and LDOE. · Responds to requests accordingly from School of Education leadership, students, faculty and staff. · Participates in School of Education Committees. · Coordinates designated activities. · Works with appropriate offices across campus. · Assist with all other needs of the School of Education. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree required · Certified teaching experience preferred · Experience working with K-12 school systems including school-level administrators and district leadership · Technical skills in the utilization of the Microsoft Suite · Ability to learn new technology advances such as SMART Sheets · Strong time management skills · Strong organization skills · Strong interpersonal skills in addressing co-workers, school administration and stakeholders, potential students, and current students both on-campus and statewide. · Prior support role/office management experience preferred.
