<h2><strong>Electrical Site Technician (Switchgear / Power Systems)</strong></h2>
<p><strong>£33,000 – £40000 + Overtime + On-Call + Excellent Benefits</strong><br /> <strong>UK Site-Based | Permanent</strong></p>
<p>We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering business for an experienced <strong>Electrical Site Technician</strong> to support the maintenance, servicing, and installation of AC and DC switchgear and power systems across customer sites in the UK.</p>
<p>This role offers a strong mix of site-based electrical maintenance work and factory-based switchgear assembly when not on site. While prior switchgear experience is not essential, candidates must have a proven background working with control panels, or distribution equipment.</p>
<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3>
<ul>

<p>Electrical maintenance, servicing, testing, and fault-finding on <strong> </strong>switchgear</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Planned preventative maintenance and reactive site work</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Interpretation of electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and general arrangement drawings</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>On-site customer support, reporting, and technical problem solving</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Factory-based assembly of switchgear and electrical panels when not attending site work</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Control panel wiring, cabling, and copper busbar forming and fitting</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Participation in an on-call rota, including weekday daytime call-outs</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Travel to customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Proven experience as an Electrical Site Technician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, or similar</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Hands-on experience with switchgear, control panels, busbars, or power distribution systems</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Full UK driving licence</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ability to pass a <strong>PTS medical</strong> (safety-critical role)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team</p>
