About the Role
Bookkeeper Part-Time 25-28 hours across 4 days Working hours are flexible and to be discussed Location: Hybrid - based in Glossop (SK13) The Role We are looking for a reliable and organised Bookkeeper to join our clients small, friendly business on a part-time basis. This is a varied, hands-on role combining bookkeeping, administration, and support to the directors. It's ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small business environment where they can take ownership of their work and contribute across multiple areas. We offer flexibility in working hours and structure, making this role well suited to someone balancing other commitments. Key Responsibilities Finance & Bookkeeping (Core Focus) Processing purchase and sales invoices Performing bank reconciliations Maintaining accurate financial records Supporting monthly financial reporting Monitoring income, expenditure, and basic cashflow Liaising with external accountants Processing payroll Preparing VAT returns Administration Supporting general office administration and correspondence Operations & Coordination Liaising with directors on administrative matters About You Essential: Proven bookkeeping experience (AAT or equivalent preferred) Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and take responsibility Comfortable working within a small business environment Desirable: Experience with Sage (ideally Sage 200) Previous experience in a small or owner-managed business Exposure to manufacturing industries What We Offer Flexible working arrangements A stable, long-term role in a privately owned business A varied position with real responsibility A supportive and friendly working environment Opportunity for the role to grow over time
