Management Accountant

Our client are a rapidly expanding, multi-site leisure business. As they continue an exciting period of growth they are now recruiting an additional Management Accountant to join the finance team in a senior capacity.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified accountant to take on greater ownership and play a key role in supporting both head office and newly acquired sites.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the central (head office) accounts while also supporting the integration and performance of newly acquired locations.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Full ownership of management accounts for head office, including P&L and balance sheet
• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Ownership and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including accruals and prepayments
• Production and review of monthly P&L reporting with clear variance analysis
• Business partnering with stakeholders across head office functions
• Taking responsibility for two newly acquired sites, supporting performance optimisation and integration
• Providing commercial insight to drive profitability and improve EBITDA
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assisting with ongoing process improvements and ad-hoc projects

About You

• Finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
• Previous experience in a management accounting role
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
• Commercially minded with a proactive and hands-on approach
• Experience in a multi-site environment is highly advantageous
