<strong>Part Time Accounts Assistant</strong><br><br>Redditch<br><br>£14 per hour <br><br>We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented <strong>Part Time</strong> <strong>Accounts Assistant</strong> to join our busy office team. This is a varied role that combines finance, payroll, procurement and general administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple business functions.<br><br>The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, whilst also assisting with procurement activities and providing administrative support across the organisation.<br><br><strong>Part Time Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities</strong><br><br><ul><li>Maintain sales and purchase ledger records. <br><br></li><ul><li>Set up new customer and supplier accounts, including credit checks and data maintenance. <br><br></li><li>Raise sales invoices and credit notes. <br><br></li><li>Process supplier invoices, credit notes and payments. <br><br></li><li>Allocate receipts and payments and reconcile accounts. <br><br></li><li>Produce customer statements and supplier remittances. <br><br></li><li>Carry out effective credit control to ensure timely payment. <br><br></li><li>Maintain accurate cash book records. <br><br></li><li>Administer weekly payroll. <br><br></li><li>Set up new employees on payroll systems. <br><br></li><li>Calculate hours worked from time recording systems. <br><br></li><li>Record sickness, holidays and other absences. <br><br></li><li>Process holiday pay, statutory sick pay and pension contributions. <br><br></li><li>Resolve employee payroll queries. <br><br></li></ul></ul>The ideal Part Time Accounts Assistant will have:<br><br><ul><li>Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration and payroll. <br><br></li><ul><li>Experience using accounting and payroll software (knowledge of TAS and Sage would be advantageous). <br><br></li><li>Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office. <br><br></li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. <br><br></li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. <br><br></li><li>The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. <br><br></li><li>Confidence working independently and as part of a team. <br><br></li><li>A proactive, flexible and positive approach to work. <br><br></li><li>Experience of procurement or purchasing would be beneficial but is not essential. <br><br></li></ul></ul>You will be reliable, professional and committed to maintaining accurate financial records while providing effective support across the finance function and wider business.
