We are seeking a hands-on GCP Cloud Security Architect to design, secure, and enable enterprise cloud environments. This role will focus on GCP landing zones, cloud foundations, identity and access management, networking, security governance, and infrastructure automation.
The ideal candidate is consultative, technically strong, and experienced working with cross-functional teams in regulated or security-conscious environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable GCP landing zones for pilots and enterprise deployments.
- Establish cloud security standards, governance policies, guardrails, and compliance controls.
- Design GCP organization structures, Shared VPCs, IAM models, network connectivity, and least-privilege access.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Integrate security scanning, secrets management, container security, and policy enforcement into CI/CD pipelines.
- Configure and manage GCP security and monitoring tools, including Security Command Center and Chronicle.
- Conduct cloud security reviews, risk assessments, threat modeling, and remediation activities.
- Lead technical workshops and provide cloud architecture recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop reusable templates, documentation, and standardized cloud deployment patterns.
- Support incident response and mentor technical teams on cloud security best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
- 3+ years of hands-on GCP experience, particularly in cloud foundations, networking, IAM, and security.
- Experience designing or implementing enterprise GCP landing zones.
- Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture, CI/CD security, policy as code, and cloud governance.
- Experience working with security or compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
- Proficiency with Python, Bash, Git, and container technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GKE, Kubernetes security, hybrid cloud connectivity, or multi-cloud environments.
- Experience supporting financial services, healthcare, government, or another regulated industry.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- CISSP, CCSP, CKS, or a comparable security certification.
