Corporate Tax Semi-Senior
AJ Chambers are looking for a Corporate Tax Semi-Senior to join an accountancy firm in their north London office.
They are an office of approximately 55 staff, 10 partners, encompassing a mixed tax team of 20 individuals. This hire is being made due to plans of growth and expansion, and provides an exciting opportunity to develop a rapidly developing team.
The tax partner is looking for an individual who has good base in accounting, and some relevant tax experience, who wants to move into a tax-focused role. To begin with, the role will consist mainly of compliance work, with advisory work coming through on an ad hoc basis with experience. Full study support is available for tax professional qualifications.
Corporate Tax Semi-Senior Responsibilities
General compliance work
Preparation of corporate tax returns, working with clients ranging from startups to listed companies
Dealing/assisting with HM Revenue & Customs’ enquiries
Dealing/assisting with clients’ enquiries
Assisting with advisory projects
Communicating directly with the client to send them the tax return and computation, obtain signed tax return, resolve any queries they have and request more information from them as necessary
Building and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues within the tax department and in other departments within the firm
Assisting/dealing in other aspects of routine compliance work
Corporate Tax Semi-Senior Requirements
At least 1-2 years’ experience in an accounting or taxation role
Part-qualified or looking to start professional qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High organisation skills with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks
A positive and committed approach to work that is extended to clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
