Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £48,000 + 6% Pension+ Private Health Care
Location: Bolton
Shifts: Monday to Friday (Double Days Rotating)

• 6:00am – 2:00pm
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• 8am-16:00pm
• 16:00pm – 12:00pm

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of highly automated production lines. Working within a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance activities to maximise equipment uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on automated machinery
• Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and mechanical systems
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance and fault reporting records
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong fault-finding skills (electrical and/or mechanical)
• Experience working with automated production lines
• Ability to work effectively within a shift-based team
• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent) preferred
