CNC Laser Operator
Location: Lubbock, TX
Department: Manufacturing
Pay: $18-$22

Position Summary
The CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC laser cutting equipment and related machinery to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, and horizontal benders
Load programs, adjust machine settings, and select appropriate tooling based on material type and thickness
Safely load and unload raw materials and finished parts
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances are met
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues as needed
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
Report production delays, equipment issues, or quality concerns to management
Follow all safety procedures, ISO standards, and company policies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist with continuous improvement efforts and provide feedback to leadership
Collaborate with team members and support other operators as needed

Education & Experience
3+ years of CNC or manufacturing experience preferred (laser cutting experience a plus)
High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent experience)
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques
Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of laser cutting processes and shield gases preferred
Basic math skills, including geometry, fractions, and measurements
Ability to use precision measuring instruments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching throughout the shift
Ability to operate machinery and overhead cranes
Visual ability to inspect parts and read measurements accurately
