About the Role

<p>Network Engineer initially on a 12-month FTC required to join a globally recognised organisation in Glasgow undergoing significant investment across its enterprise infrastructure environment. With continued investment across cloud networking, SD-WAN, security architecture, and enterprise infrastructure, the organisation is modernising its global technology landscape to support a highly connected international operation.</p> <p>Technology is viewed as a key enabler across the business, and the network function plays a critical role in ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing services across multiple regions and offices worldwide.</p> </p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>As Network Engineer, you&#8217;ll have responsibility for delivering 3rd line support across a complex global network environment.</p> <p>The role will focus on maintaining the stability, performance, and security of enterprise network services while supporting ongoing infrastructure improvements and project work. You&#8217;ll work across a broad technical landscape covering LAN, WAN, wireless, routing, firewalls, cloud connectivity, and network monitoring technologies.</p> <p>This is a varied role combining operational support, troubleshooting, vendor collaboration, and technical implementation within a fast-paced enterprise environment.</p> <p>You&#8217;ll also participate in an on-call rota and support occasional out-of-hours maintenance activity where required.</p> </p> <p><strong>What You&#8217;ll Be Doing</strong></p> <p>** Providing 3rd line support across a global enterprise network environment</p> <p>** Troubleshooting complex networking and connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless technologies</p> <p>** Supporting the ongoing availability, resilience, and performance of critical network infrastructure</p> <p>** Working closely with third-party providers to investigate and resolve technical issues</p> <p>** Supporting implementation and upgrade activity across network and security platforms</p> <p>** Ensuring network services align with security standards and operational controls</p> <p>** Producing technical documentation, implementation plans, and support procedures</p> <p>** Collaborating with infrastructure, cloud, security, and service teams across multiple regions</p> </p> <p><strong>What We&#8217;re Looking For</strong></p> <p>** Strong enterprise networking experience within complex multi-site environments</p> <p>** Advanced troubleshooting capability across network and security technologies</p> <p>** Strong Cisco networking experience including Nexus switching environments</p> <p>** Knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP</p> <p>** Experience supporting enterprise wireless environments, ideally Aruba</p> <p>** Strong understanding of firewall technologies such as Palo Alto or Fortinet</p> <p>** Experience working with MPLS, VPN, QoS, and WAN optimisation technologies</p> <p>** Knowledge of network monitoring and management platforms such as SolarWinds or Cisco Prime</p> <p>** Experience supporting secure enterprise environments with strong operational controls</p> <p>** Ability to work effectively with third-party vendors and global technical teams</p> <p>** CCNP or equivalent level knowledge would be highly beneficial</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>The Offer</strong></p> <p>You&#8217;ll receive a competitive salary and benefits package, hybrid working (typically 3 days in a city centre office), and the opportunity to work within a highly regarded global organisation investing heavily in modern network e technologies.
