Job title: Professional Negligence Locum

Job description: On behalf of a highly reputable law firm in the North of England, we’re presently recruiting for a Professional Negligence Locum on a hybrid basis.

The position is likely to be firm, with the firm requiring cover until a permanent member of staff has been recruited. In addition, whilst the firm are prepared to consider non-qualified Lawyers, it is essential for applicants to posses prior experience managing their own Professional Negligence caseload, with a particular bias towards defending law firms regarding claims registered against them.

Duties:

• Investigate regulatory breach notifications
• Provide knowledge relating to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) code of conduct, operational governance, regulatory compliance framework, data protection, anti-money laundering, complaint handling, professional indemnity insurance and negligence claims

Working hours: Ideally full time, but will consider part time applicants

Working arrangement: A flexible hybrid working arrangement on offer

Length of assignment: Initially 3-6 months with the strong likelihood of extensions

Day/hourly rate: Negotiable
