Description & Requirements Senior Adviser - Planning and Performance Salary £40,031 to £42,033 per annum. This post plays a central role in that journey.  About the role  We are looking for a Senior Adviser – Planning & Performance to be the Commission’s expert on benefits management, performance indicators, and corporate performance reporting.  In this role, you will:  Support the development and embedding of our benefits management and performance frameworks across the organisation.  Support senior leaders to develop, track and analyse key performance indicators and benefit profiles.  Ensure high quality performance information is produced for monthly and quarterly reporting to ExCo, ARAC and the Commission Board.  Act as a Business Partner for assigned business areas, advising on strategic planning, performance management, process improvement, and benefit realisation.  Facilitate workshops, deliver training, and prepare papers for senior leadership and committees.  This post has real organisational influence, shaping how we demonstrate impact, value for money, and progress against strategic objectives.  About the team  You’ll join the Planning & Performance Team within the Corporate Services Directorate.   The team leads the Commission’s approach to business planning, KPIs, benefits management, organisational performance reporting, and strategic alignment.  The team culture is collaborative, analytical and improvement focused. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Commission, including senior leaders, project teams, finance specialists and external system suppliers. It’s an exciting environment for someone who enjoys both strategy and detail and wants to help modernise organisational performance practices.  Who we’re looking for  This role would suit someone who is naturally analytical, highly organised and confident engaging with senior stakeholders. You’ll be comfortable influencing at all levels, explaining complex information clearly, and building positive relationships across the organisation.  We’re looking for someone with:  Strong experience in performance monitoring, reporting, KPIs and operational planning.  Experience of policy development or review in performance or benefits management.  The ability to persuade, influence and negotiate with senior leaders.  Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.  The ability to anticipate problems, generate solutions and work proactively.  Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems.  Desirable experience includes benefits leadership, project management, and delivering training.
