The Opportunity

You'll be leading the development of the civil engineering capability in Manchester, working closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams across the business. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate civil engineering design across a range of projects

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

• Act as a key client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships

• Drive business development activities including work winning and bid submissions

• Oversee technical quality, standards, and regulatory compliance

• Manage project finances, resources, and team performance

About You

• Proven experience leading civil engineering design teams

• Strong technical background within a consultancy environment

• Confident in client-facing situations and stakeholder management

• Commercially aware, with experience supporting or leading business development

• Strong understanding of design standards, quality assurance, and compliance
