About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled Hazardous area electrician to join our expanding engineering team.

The Hazardous area electrician (HAE) reporting to the electrical engineering support Manager (I&M Inspections) will be responsible for building bespoke LPG refuelling stations such as FLT at our manufacturing facility in Staveley, as well as installing and maintaining the network throughout the UK. Additionally, the HAE will support other installations and inspections on customer and internal projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out the Installation of new customer LPG/LNG plants throughout the UK.
  • Carrying out Electrical inspections and rectification work to customer installations throughout the UK.
  • Carrying out Electrical inspections, rectification work and full plant upgrades and client installations throughout the UK.
  • Carrying out off site Electrical assembly of LPG vaporisers, Pump skid units and package boiler houses.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments as part of a team or as an individual.
  • Approved electrician. Accredited apprenticeship or comparable qualification (JIB Graded Gold card or above)
  • Complex modules EX01-4 or IECEx COPC Modules EX001-8
  • C&G 2391 or, 2391-52 or, 2394 & 2395 Inspection and Testing
  • C&G 2382-22 18TH Edition
  • CCSNG/JIB/SSSTS or equivalent Safety passport.
  • Level 3 requirements for electrical installations-BS7671:2018. 18th edition
  • High level of IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel & Office.
  • Proficient in the preparation and installation of IECEx/Atex rated equipment, including motors, control stations, junction boxes and lighting.
  • Proficient in the installation of Metal Trunking, conduit, and tray, SWA cables and glands. LV distribution equipment and ancillaries
  • Good understanding of schematic, Loop, P&ID, and zone drawings.
  • Good understanding of control systems and fault finding.
  • It would be desirable but not essential that the candidate be familiar with NICEIC reporting and certification, hold IPAF & PASMA licenses.
