Group Finance Manager | £50 to £55K | Berkshire

Excited to be supporting an ambitious and growing investment group who specialise in the acquisition of small to medium enterprises in the recruitment of a Group Finance Manager.

Reporting to the CFO, and with the support of an accounts administrator you primarily be responsible to for the consolidation of accounts, budgets, and reporting for two FMCG / Retail entities, with core duties to include:

• Be the key point of contact on financial and accounting matters.
• Prepare monthly management information relating to finance, sales, and performance against KPI's
• Manage all AP, AR (expense & invoice processing, payment runs, petty cash, credit control, sales) and Invoice Financing
• Ensure all statutory requirements are met re. HMRC (VAT, PAYE, P11Ds, Annual Accounts)
• Monitor all bank deposits and payments.
• Manage and improve the month-end process (bank recs, balance sheet recs).
• Manage quarterly VAT returns.
• Manage monthly payroll process in liaison with external provider.
• Support statutory account preparation

To be successful in this role you will ideal be an experienced SME Finance Manager accustomed to the varying daily priorities of a growing SME. Demonstrable experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

• Working with inventory, preferably in a retail / wholesale organisation
• Understand the dynamic of working in a small business / team
• Be a self-starter who is comfortable working on their own initiative
