An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Corporate Tax Director or Senior Manager ready to step up, to join a highly regarded and well-established independent firm based in Leeds, with a strong and respected network of offices across the UK.

This Corporate Tax Director role offers the chance to work at a senior level within a collaborative and progressive firm, advising on high-quality, complex corporate tax matters while playing a meaningful role in shaping the firm’s future direction. Importantly, this Corporate Tax Director opportunity comes with a clear and realistic pathway to Partnership in the medium term.

The Role

As Corporate Tax Director, you will take responsibility for a diverse and sophisticated corporate client portfolio, including entrepreneurial and multi-generational owner-managed businesses alongside larger corporates. The work is predominantly advisory-led and includes:

• Group structuring and reorganisations
• Acquisitions and disposals
• R&D tax reliefs
• Succession and shareholder planning
• Strategic tax advisory for growing and established businesses

This Corporate Tax Director position offers genuinely varied and technically engaging work, providing exposure to some of the most interesting corporate tax projects in the market.

Alongside your client-facing responsibilities, you will act as a senior leader within the tax team, developing junior colleagues and contributing to the strategic growth of the firm. Business development will form a key part of the Corporate Tax Director's remit, with scope to build on existing relationships, win new mandates and help drive the future success of the tax division.

The Candidate

• CTA and/or ACA qualified, with a strong corporate tax background
• Extensive experience advising entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses on complex UK corporate tax matters
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
• Strong business development capability and a track record of building client portfolios
• Commercially minded, collaborative, and motivated by progression to Partnership

Package

• Highly competitive base salary, dependent on experience
• (A guide of £70,000 – £85,000 has been set by Fletcher George)
