COMPLIANCE LEAD JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose: Develop and implement import/export systems and processes that support the company's business and compliance goals and ensure compliance with international trade regulations

Collaborate closely with our Sales, Logistics, Engineering, Purchasing and Finance

teams to manage import and export documentation, processes and systems

throughout the entire Sales – Despatch process.

 

Reports: Compliance Manager MPG

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Streamline the process of export licenses, including Standard and Open General (OGELs) licenses for military and dual use technologies including rigorous due diligence on end-user certificates.

import/export systems and processes that support the company's business and compliance goals and ensure compliance with international trade regulations

Manage import and export documentation, processes and systems throughout the entire Sales – Despatch process. To include but not be limited to customs declarations, bills of lading, import and export licences and other shipping documents, enabling smooth cross-border transactions.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Production, Engineering and Finance, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, through data sharing and collection, documentation provision and other required actions.

Work with suppliers to ensure import paperwork includes all customs requirements. Work with Purchasing to ensure all third party guidance requirements to meet Dover Supplier requirements are met.

 

Work with the BSC Logistics team to: ▪ Prepare and provide import documentation. ▪ Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics providers. ▪ Create and Maintains Broker Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

 

Manage relationships with customs officials and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with import/export regulations

Complete required internal and external audits and reporting, including completion of IPR register and HMRC compliance requirements.

Support export and import compliance needs, including answering broker requests, classifying items, researching requirements, coordinating timely shipment clearance, and auditing entries. Maintain Visual Compliance Manager for Site to ensure validation of Hits and proper escalation process.

 

 

 

 

 

Prepare documentation related to violations and/or disclosures to MPG Compliance Manager. Provide training to employees on matters related to export and import Compliance.

 

Complete ongoing CPD actions to ensure you remain up to date with relevant international trade agreements and customs requirements related to exports and imports.

Deputise for other members of the team in agreed responsibilities.
