Job description   Job Description Job Title: Factory Medical Officer Department: EHS Role Objective The Factory Medical Officer manages the daily operations of the on-site Occupational Health Centre (OHC). This role focuses on providing immediate medical care, managing workplace injuries, organizing health awareness sessions periodically and taking care of, health, wellbeing and ergonomics of employees, and ensuring compliance with statutory health regulations under the Factories Act and local rules to promote a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities / Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Care & Emergency Management: Provide primary care and first aid for work-related injuries or illnesses. Manage on-site medical emergencies, coordinate hospital referrals, and supervise paramedical staff. Maintain medical inventory and emergency equipment. Accurately maintain records related to medical waste management. Occupational Health & Surveillance: Examine the medical reports of pre-employment and issue necessary fitness certificates. Conduct premedical examinations and issue fitness certificates for contract workers. Statutory Compliance & Documentation: Ensure documentation as per the Factories Act and local regulations. Maintain confidential health records, submit required reports to authorities, and coordinate with the EHS team for safety audits. Preventive Health & Wellness: Organize health awareness sessions on periodically and taking care of wellbeing and ergonomics of employees Job Specifications Education: MBBS degree from a recognized institution. Certification: AFIH (Associate Fellowship of Industrial Health) is mandatory. Experience: 3–5 years, with at least 1-2 years in industrial or occupational health, preferably within a manufacturing environment. High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Good oral and written English capability Key Relationships and Communication Internal stakeholders: Employees, HRBP Leader, EHS Leader, Operations Leader  Eternal stakeholders: Government, Third-party vendors if any Work Conditions Location: Vijayawada, India.
