About the Role

After fifteen years of mission critical work, you already know you could run the department. The seat just has not opened where you are. Our client is one of the premier data center players so you would get to work with some of the biggest names in the space. They are an independently owned MEP engineering firm with offices nationwide and decades in mission critical design. We're looking for someone with deep mission critical experience as well as experience managing people and projects. This position is based in Boston with relocation available to the right candidate. What you would be doing: Lead the electrical department and its engineers Run the electrical design on large data centers, coordinating with the client and the mechanical and site teams Design medium voltage distribution: transformers, switchgear, breakers, cabling Develop protection and control schemes: relay settings, relaying diagrams Serve as engineer of record and mentor the newer engineers What we are looking for: 15 or more years designing electrical systems for high performance facilities, including hands-on data center and mission critical work PE required Working knowledge of Revit and BIM Experience with medium voltage distribution and protection and control schemes (SEL or Basler) LEED accreditation is a plus
