KS1 Teaching Assistant - Epping Forest

A welcoming primary school in the Epping Forest area is currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting young learners at a crucial stage in their development, particularly in early reading, phonics, and foundational numeracy skills.

You will be working closely with the class teacher to help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting whole-class learning and targeted group interventions
• Delivering phonics and early literacy support
• Assisting pupils with additional learning needs where required
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

The school is looking for:

• Someone with experience working with children (school-based preferred)
• A patient, nurturing and proactive approach
• Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
• Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
