About the Role:

Justteachers is recruiting an enthusiastic Geography Teacher for a long-term supply role in a secondary school in Halifax, starting in September. The school is renowned for its commitment to broadening students’ understanding of the world, promoting curiosity and encouraging active participation in learning, supported by a collaborative Humanities department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS4 and KS5.
• Support pupils in developing geographical knowledge and analytical skills.
• Prepare students for assessments and examinations.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education-based references.
