Job Description:
Exact Staff is hiring for our client. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Technician to support conveyor belt fabrication and material handling operations. This role involves measuring, cutting, and preparing conveyor belts to meet specific work order and customer requirements in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Measure conveyor belts based on work orders, blueprints, or specifications
- Cut conveyor belt materials using hand tools or power equipment
- Inspect materials for defects prior to processing
- Label, size, and prepare finished products accurately
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials
- Communicate with supervisors regarding order status and material needs
- Follow all quality control procedures and safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, and calipers
- Ability to read and follow basic work instructions or drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills, including fractions and measurements
Preferred:
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Pay: DOE
- Schedule: Full-time; schedule to be confirmed
- Location: On-site
- Work Environment: Industrial warehouse setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and heavy materials in a fast-paced production environment
