This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sales, customer service, and supporting essential services in the industrial sector.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities – Internal Sales and Customer Support in Switchgear Exeter</h3><ul><li><p>Respond efficiently to inbound sales enquiries relating to switchgear, power distribution equipment, and associated products for industrial and commercial customers.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with the Switchgear Services delivery team to ensure seamless communication between sales, engineering, and project management.</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and delivering excellent service throughout the sales process.</p></li><li><p>Track, progress, and follow up on all quotations and sales leads, ensuring a proactive approach to winning business.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records in CRM/ATS systems for sales reporting and project tracking.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to business development activities, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement events for the Switchgear Services division.</p></li><li><p>Attend the Honiton factory approximately once per week (more frequently during initial training).</p></li></ul><h4>&nbsp;Skills, Experience, and Qualifications for Internal Sales</h4><ul><li><p>Experience in an internal sales or technical sales support role (advantageous but not essential&nbsp;within a switchgear, electrical engineering, or industrial M&amp;E environment).</p></li><li><p>Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and tasks simultaneously.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with a client-focused and collaborative approach.</p></li><li><p>Confidence using CRM, sales management, and standard office IT systems (Word, Excel, Email).</p></li><li><p>Basic understanding of switchgear, electrical distribution, or M&amp;E project delivery would be advantageous&nbsp;(full&nbsp; training will be provided).</p></li><li><p>Driven, positive attitude and a commitment to delivering service excellence in line with company values.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work inclusively within a diverse and supportive team environment.</p></li><li><p>Relevant qualification in business, electrical engineering, or sales (desirable, not essential).</p></li></ul><p><strong>Working Arrangements &amp; Collaboration</strong></p><p>This role has potential to be is primarily <strong>home-based (after probation period)</strong>, with occasional travel to our <strong>Honiton office</strong>, where you’ll collaborate closely with both technical and operational teams.
