Job Description The Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI-Shot, Remington and Speer. The Senior Manager of Factory Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing all activities within the production facility (Value Stream) to meet customer demand, achieve operational excellence, drive cost reductions, maintain superior quality, and ensure regulatory compliance in a high-stakes ammunition manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Director of Operations and is based out of our Lonoke, Arkansas facility. What you’ll do: Prioritize safety, championing best practices, hazard prevention, and continuous improvement toward zero-harm goals. Ensure compliance with ATF, OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations and standards for explosives/ammunition production. Develop and execute strategic plans, KPIs, and initiatives aligned with business objectives for production, cost, and efficiency. Lead talent management: selection, training, development, performance coaching, and succession planning. Manage value stream budget, cost control, forecasting, and inventory accuracy. Communicate company policies, performance updates, and changes to promote transparency and engagement. Partner with HR on staffing, labor planning, absenteeism, overtime, and turnover to sustain an engaged workforce. Build effective training programs, performance standards, and quality systems for consistent output. Oversee operations for high quality, low cost, and on-time delivery. Track KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, Employee Engagement); lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and improvement projects. Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement (Kaizen, Six Sigma), and waste elimination. Collaborate cross-functionally on process upgrades, new products, equipment reliability, and technology integration. Empower teams to innovate and implement changes in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Experience you bring: BA in Business, Engineering, and / or 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing management. Proven expertise in budget planning/execution, quality improvement, and safe operations in regulated/high-hazard environments. Strong track record developing and improving production metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Employee). Excellent leadership, communication, team-building, and decision-making skills. Experience managing 24/7 shift-based manufacturing. You might have: Master’s degree (MBA or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering). Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, SPC, JIT, TPM, and related methodologies. Experience in ammunition, firearms, explosives, or defense manufacturing. Familiarity with servant leadership and digital tools (automation, data analytics, ERP/MES). Work Environment: Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations. Pay Range: Annual Salary: $106,500.00 - $149,000.00 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
