<p><strong>Compensation:</strong> $62,400–$79,040 annually</p>

<h3><strong>Job Summary</strong></h3>
<p>The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support of enrolled children. This role focuses on promoting functional independence, meaningful engagement, and family-centered care. Therapists collaborate across disciplines to ensure goals outlined in each enrollee’s IFSP or IEP are met. All documentation must meet state, local, and program standards.</p>

<h3><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>

<p>Evaluate, diagnose, and manage physical impairments and disabilities.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Provide therapy services and initiate referrals as needed.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Conduct screenings at regular intervals to determine service needs.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Gather assessment data to guide treatment planning; perform specialized assessments when appropriate.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Obtain and document necessary physician orders.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Communicate evaluation findings with families and team members.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including short- and long-term goals.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Recommend and monitor use of assistive devices, orthotics, and positioning supports.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Adjust interventions based on enrollee progress and physician recommendations.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Create home-based therapy plans or community programming to support functional outcomes.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Complete thorough documentation for assessments, treatments, follow-ups, and service conclusions.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Provide in-service education to members of the child’s care team.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Attend meetings, program events, and professional development activities.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Represent Daystar Kids with strong customer service and professionalism.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Perform additional duties as assigned.</p>

<h3><strong>Education & Experience</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (or designated therapy specialty)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Current New York State licensure</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Minimum of 3 years of experience</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Feeding experience preferred (for OT-specific applicants)</p>
</li>
