About the Role

<p><strong><span>Health &amp; Safety Advisor (QHSE)</span></strong><br /><span>Location: Melksham </span><br /><span>Salary: &pound;32,000 &#8211; &pound;36,000 DOE </span><br /><span>Full-time | Permanent</span></p> <p><span>We are currently recruiting for a Health &amp; Safety Advisor to join a growing manufacturing business, supporting the Head of QHSE in maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing working environment.</span></p> <p><span>This is a key role where you will act as the first point of contact for all Health &amp; Safety matters, helping to drive a strong safety culture across the business.</span></p> <p><strong><span>The Role</span></strong></p> <p><span>You will play a hands-on role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation, while actively supporting continuous improvement across site operations.</span></p> <p><strong><span>Key Responsibilities</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span>Conduct risk assessments and implement safe systems of work </span></li> <li><span>Investigate accidents, near misses, and non-conformities </span></li> <li><span>Manage COSHH assessments and control hazardous substances </span></li> <li><span>Oversee PPE selection, issue, and training </span></li> <li><span>Manage contractor activities, including RAMS and permits to work </span></li> <li><span>Coordinate inspection, servicing, and testing of equipment (including PAT testing) </span></li> <li><span>Support DSE assessments for employees </span></li> <li><span>Carry out internal audits, HSE inspections, and environmental monitoring </span></li> <li><span>Support ISO management systems and compliance activities</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span>About You</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span>Proven experience in a similar Health &amp; Safety role </span></li> <li><span>Strong knowledge of ISO45001 / OHSAS18001 </span></li> <li><span>Recognised H&amp;S qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, IOSH) </span></li> <li><span>Experience conducting audits and investigations </span></li> <li><span>Confident using Microsoft Office and systems </span></li> <li><span>Proactive, organised, and able to influence at all levels</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span>Desirable:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span>IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) </span></li> <li><span>Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001</span>&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><span>What&rsquo;s on Offer</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span>Competitive salary (depending on experience) </span></li> <li><span>Opportunity to play a key role in improving site safety culture </span></li> <li><span>Supportive and collaborative working environment </span></li> <li><span>Ongoing training and development opportunities </span></li> </ul> <p></p>
