<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">The IS Operational Consultant 2 – Surgical & Procedural Service Lines serves as a strategic liaison between clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to support technology initiatives across surgical and procedural care environments. This role focuses on relationship management, business case development, and project planning for clinical technologies, ensuring initiatives are well-defined, aligned with service line priorities, and prepared for execution within established delivery frameworks.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">The role partners closely with Product Owners, Architects, analysts, vendors, and clinical leaders to translate operational needs into clear scope, requirements, and implementation plans.</span></span></p><hr><p><span style="font-size:x-large;"><span data-teams="true"><strong>Updated Essential Functions of the Role</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true"><strong>1. Stakeholder & Relationship Management</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Serve as a primary point of contact for technology initiatives supporting Surgical and Procedural Service Lines.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Build and maintain strong working relationships with clinical leaders, physicians, nurses, technologists, informatics teams, and hospital and clinic leadership.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Partner with IS stakeholders, Product Owners, and Architects to align clinical needs with enterprise technology strategies and standards.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Facilitate communication between clinical users and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of objectives, constraints, and expected outcomes.</span></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true"><strong>2. Business Case Development & Strategic Consulting</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Support development of business cases for surgical and procedural technology initiatives, including problem statements, benefits, risks, assumptions, and high-level cost considerations.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Provide analytical support to evaluate current-state workflows, identify gaps, and recommend technology-enabled improvements.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Assist leadership with decision support by presenting options, trade-offs, and impacts related to proposed initiatives.</span></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true"><strong>3. Project Planning & Scope Definition</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Lead documentation of initiative scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, and constraints in collaboration with stakeholders.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Work with vendors, internal technical leads, and analysts to understand level of effort, resourcing needs, and implementation considerations.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Ensure requests are appropriately prepared for intake, prioritization, and downstream execution.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Identify when additional committees, councils, or governance forums are required and coordinate preparation for those discussions.</span></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true"><strong>4. Agile Readiness & Delivery Support</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Partner with Product Owners and Architects to ensure work is clearly defined and ready for execution.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Support development of user stories, features, and acceptance criteria to meet Definition of Ready standards.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Participate in process improvement efforts to strengthen intake, planning, and delivery workflows within an agile environment.</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true">Assist with change management planning, communication coordination, and readiness activities as needed.</span></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:inherit;"><span data-teams="true"><strong>5.
