Schedule: M-F 7a-3p We are seeking a skilled Chemical Laboratory Technician / Research Associate to support lab experimentation related to the development and scale-up of new technologies from lab to commercialization. This role involves hands-on laboratory work including chemical synthesis, purification, and analysis, while ensuring safe operations and accurate documentation.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of working both independently and collaboratively, and experienced in a chemical lab or pilot plant environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform laboratory synthesis to support new product development, cost reduction, and optimization projectsPartner with lead researchers to design and execute experimental programsOperate and troubleshoot a variety of laboratory equipment and analytical toolsConduct analysis using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, rheology, and titrationsBuild and modify laboratory setups, including mechanical assembly of non-standard equipmentAssist with plant trials and technology transfer to manufacturing sitesDocument experimental procedures, data, and results; prepare summary reportsSupport lab operations including equipment maintenance and chemical inventory managementParticipate in and promote lab safety programs, including inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance initiativesCollaborate with vendors and contractors for lab projects and equipment procurement QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related fieldMinimum 4+ years of relevant experience in a chemical laboratory or pilot plant environment10+ years of experience preferredExperience with organic or polymer synthesis requiredExperience working with high-pressure systems and catalysts preferredStrong communication (written and verbal) skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot standard analytical lab equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs (equipment/materials) Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
