PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
  • Location: Horsham PA 19044 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $66/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
    • Rotation: Includes alternate weekends.
    • Overtime: Opportunities available (calculated based on weighted shift averages).

PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Pharmacist will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications and the clinical oversight of patient drug therapy. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners to ensure safe and effective medication management.
  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Dispensing & Clinical Review: Accept and dispense prescriptions while monitoring patient compliance and over-usage patterns.
  • Consultation: Advise patients on proper medication usage, storage, dosage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
  • Supervision: Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, to ensure operational excellence.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on medical devices (e.g., glucose meters, blood pressure monitors) and clinical services like smoking cessation.
  • Compounding: Prepare sterile solutions and compound medications for internal or external use following strict safety protocols.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure pharmacy operations align with all state and federal laws

PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • Licensure: Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC)
  • Familiarity with the AS/400 operating system.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to identify drug-related problems, and proficiency in maintaining complex pharmacy files.
  • Environment: Professional pharmacy setting; requires high attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
